JW Films

JW films James Wilson is a producer and actor who is known for his work on Shaun of the dead, Attack the block, 20 000 Days on Earth, The Perverts guide to ideology and the full Monty. He was the executive producer for Shaun of the Dead which received very positive reviews. Empire gave it 4/5 in their review. He was also the executive producer for The Lovely Bones which had good reviews but failed to make a profit. It had a budget of $65,000,000 and only made $43,818,839. He has been nominated for 6 awards including the Alexander Korda award for best British film for Under the Skin with Jonathan Glazer, Nick Wechsler and Walter Campbell. He has somehow managed to pose with Scarlet Johansson on multiple occasions and not have a Wikipedia page.

Warp Films - Kill list

Kill list Kill list is a 2011 British crime drama psychological film directed by Ben Wheatley and produced by Warp X that was released in the UK on the 28 th of August 2011 and in America on the 2 nd of September 2011. It made £87,970 in its first week . The movie was filmed in Sheffield . The story is about a British soldier who returns from Kiev and joins his friends as a contract killer. His disturbed past surfaces as he spins out of control during jobs and ominous employers raise the stakes. The film was well received in the UK and in America. It scored 76% positive of Rotten Tomatoes and Total Film declared it ‘outstanding’ and giving it a 5-star rating. It was nominated for 8 awards in the 2011 British independent film awards and won ‘best supporting actor’ for Michael Smiley. Link to the trailer

Warp Films

Warp Films Warp films are an independent film and TV production company who are based in Sheffield and London and have a division in Australia. Warp films were founded by Warp records founding partners (Rob Mitchell and Steve Beckett). Rob Mitchell died in 2001 so Beckett decided to continue with Warp Films and enlisted the help of Mark Herbert to run the company. Warp Films debut feature, Dead man’s shoes, was shot in 22 days on a tight budget with the production taking place in Herbert’s shed. It was nominated for 8 British independent film awards and won the Hitchcock D’or at the Dinard Festival. Their most well-known film is Submarine, this is partly due to Alex Turner (the lead singer of the Arctic Monkey) singing most of the songs featured in the movie in his first solo venture. BBC radio 1: Scott Mills

The show is advertised on the BBC radio one website and if there is something special happening on the show it is advertised on BBC 1 and 2 in the gap between programmes. It fits the BBCs public service remit because it entertains people and has news reports at set times during the show to inform listeners of the latest world news. Scott Mills has a twitter account which he uses to advertise the show and interact with fans of the show. His show is also available on the BBC iPlayer so it would be suggested to people who listen to similar shows.
