Less formal planning - Mind maps (with strengths and weaknesses)

Here is our mind map of our ideas for this opening sequence. We have 3 different ideas to choose from. I think that it is likely that we will go with the "Mental health issues cause student to hallucinate" idea due to us being able to make it more realistic and therefore more believable.

The idea of the chest being opened and the ghosts being released will mean that we will have to be able to destroy or damage things in the school that we are filming in. This means that we will have to get permission to destroy any displays that are on the walls or spend the time to make some of our own that we can destroy. The making of the displays that we could destroy wouldn't be a problem however we may struggle to make them look believable in the time that we have to film.

Our third idea was of the ghosts of the murdered principals haunting the school will be difficult to do. It will either require at least 2 people to be dressed up in costume with makeup or it will require a large amount of editing to make the people look like they are ghosts. We will also need to make some fake newspaper articles to make it more realistic which may once again may end up requiring more time than we have (especially with the make-up/editing).
