Story:

A man (Norman) murders his mother and her lover. Unable to bear the guilt, he treats her as if she is still alive. As a result, he recreates his own mother in his own mind, dresses as her and talks in her voice.
The ‘mother’ personality is jealous and possessive. Whenever Norman feels attracted to a woman ‘mother’ kills her. This leads to the murder of three girls. By the end of the movie ‘mother’ has taken full control over Norman.

The film had an estimated budget of $806,947 and had a gross (in the USA) of $32,000,000 and a worldwide gross of $50,000,000 by January 2004.
