Research - Audience research

28 days later

The audience for 28 days later were over the age of 18, this is due to the movie having an age rating of 18. It also appeals to zombie and horror fans, this is shown in the posters for the movie as they are mysterious but tell you that there are zombies. The trailers also help to create this sense of intrigue by only listing key days in the 28 days since the virus started to spread.

Psycho

Alfred Hitchcock targeted Psycho to the people who already watched his TV series, this is because the film is in black and white, like the series and was filmed in when the show was on hiatus. This would fill the break for the fans of the show while also being cheap to film.

Umbra Hominis

Umbra Hominis is targeted towards people who love horror movies, this is because the main character watches so many horror films that they cause him to live his own horror film. As a result the film will include horror references. It will also appeal to people who enjoy thought provoking horror movies as they will wonder if the film could happen in real life to somebody with psychosis.
